It is most often manifested by sharp pain in the heel area, especially with the first steps after waking up or after prolonged sitting. <\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><strong>Heel spur<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>A heel spur is a bony growth on the heel bone that forms as a result of overloading of the plantar fascia.<\/p>\n<p>It causes pain in the heel area, especially when walking or standing.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><b>Achilles tendinitis<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>This is an inflammation of the Achilles tendon, which connects the calf muscle to the heel. The pain is most often felt above the heel, worsens with movement and may be accompanied by swelling. <\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li><b>Bursitis of the heel<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Inflammation of the bursa, which is located in the heel area, can arise as a result of prolonged pressure or repetitive movements. The pain appears on the back of the heel and worsens when walking. <\/p>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li><b>Metatarzalgia<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Metatarsalgia is pain in the forefoot, usually caused by excessive pressure on the metatarsal heads (the bones between the toes and the arch of the foot). It often occurs with excessive exertion, for example when running or walking in high heels. <\/p>\n<ol start=\"6\">\n<li><b>Flat feet (pes planus)<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Flat feet mean that the foot does not have a sufficiently developed arch, which can cause pain in the heel area and the whole foot. This condition can lead to excessive strain on the muscles and ligaments of the foot, causing discomfort. <\/p>\n<ol start=\"7\">\n<li><b>Stretching or tearing of ligaments and tendons<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>With excessive physical activity, sudden movement or improper footing, the ligaments and tendons in the foot can be damaged.Typical symptoms include pain, swelling and restricted movement.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"8\">\n<li><b>Arthritis (osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis)<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis can cause inflammation and pain in the joints of the foot and heel.<\/p>\n<p>This type of pain is often chronic and may be accompanied by swelling and stiffness.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"9\">\n<li><b>Stress fractures<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Stress fractures are small cracks in the bones of the foot that occur as a result of repetitive overloading. This type of fracture can cause mild to intense pain that worsens with physical activity. <\/p>\n<ol start=\"10\">\n<li><b>Sever&#8217;s disease<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>This is a condition that occurs in children and adolescents during the period of growth. It causes inflammation of the growth plate in the heel area. The pain usually manifests itself after physical activity, especially during sports.  <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element
